Our foster volunteers play a very special role in Rescue Me Dogs. Ideally each dog we rescue from the shelter system in California will go directly to their new adoptive home, however, in some cases this is not possible. We then rely on the dedicated and loving foster volunteers to open up their home to the most vulnerable animals until they are adopted. We are a foster based organization and we ensure no dog returns to a shelter.

Foster placements can vary in commitment and length of time but we are transparent with these expectations. We will cover all medical costs of foster dogs while in your care. Foster parents play an important role in our adoption process and we value their dedication, love and support.
